BELGIAN BLUES AWARDS
This event aims to recognize and honor the exceptional talent and contributions of Belgian musicians, individuals, and organizations in the blues. As we continue to strengthen our position as a prominent force in the blues community, it is only fitting that we establish an official platform to acknowledge those who have made a significant impact on the Belgian blues scene.
The Belgian Blues Awards 2024 will consist of nine categories:
• Vocalist
• Instrumentalist
• Solo/Duo act
• Band
• Artist
• Album
• Club
• Festival
• Keeping The Blues Alive Award
The nomination process for the Belgian Blues Awards is exclusive to members of the Belgian Blues Federation. By becoming a member, you not only gain access to the opportunity to propose nominations but also support the growth and development of blues music in Belgium.
From March 1, 2024, to March 31, 2024, all BBF members can submit their nomination proposals through the form on our website. Remember to complete all three fields in each of the nine categories.
This means you have the opportunity to submit up to three different nomination proposals for each category. However, if you decide to submit just one proposal and enter the same name in each field, it will be counted as a single submission with a score factor of 1 instead of 3.
The number of nomination propositions will determine the shortlist of five nominees in each category.
Thereafter, the general public can vote for the final winners of the Belgian Blues Awards through a voting form on our website.
In order to be eligible for a Belgian Blues Award, a band must have at least 50% of its members who are either Belgian nationals or residents of Belgium. Similarly, individuals looking to qualify should either hold Belgian nationality or have their place of residence in Belgium. As for clubs and festivals, they must be situated within the borders of Belgium. Nomination proposals for bands, individuals, clubs, or festivals that do not meet these requirements will be considered invalid.
The winners will be announced, and the Belgian Blues Awards will be presented during a live event on Friday, June 21, 2024. More details will be provided soon.

• Club: Which Belgian blues clubs have established themselves as a significant reference due to their high-quality programming, impeccable organization, and excellent facilities for their visitors?
• Festival: Which Belgian blues festivals have established themselves as a significant reference due to their high-quality programming, impeccable organization, and excellent facilities for their
visitors?

• Keeping The Blues Alive Award: Which Belgian individuals, organizations, or institutions, who are not musicians themselves, have made significant contributions over the years to the promotion and preservation of blues music in Belgium?
