Selection Blues Challenge

The Belgian Blues Federation is searching for bands and/or solo artists who want to make their way to European blues stages and want to represent Belgium during the 14th edition of the European Blues Challenge (25 countries) that was organized over the past years in Berlin/Germany, Toulouse/France, Riga/Latvia, Brussels (AB), Torrita di Siena/Italy, Horsens/Denmark, Hell/Norway, Ponta Delgada/Portugal, Malmö/Sweden, Chorzów/Poland, Braga/Portugal and Split/Croatia.

From all entries (deadline April 30), final acts will be selected. These acts are expected to be present on October 17th, 2026 at CC De Steiger in Menen to show the best of themselves in a live finale, in a production of CC De Steiger.

 

An erudite jury selects the act that gets the honour to represent Belgium during the European Blues Challenge 2027 in Vila do Conde (PT)  and the International Blues Challenge 2028 in Memphis.

What to do:

• Blues must be the DNA of your music.

• Register using the form.

You provide us the following:

​

The audio files of three songs, a live video clip, a photo, a biography, the composition of your blues band and your contact information.

​

• Deadline for entries is April 30, 2026.

​

• By entering, you agree to abide by the BBC's game rules.

​

• By entering, you declare that your blues band is available to play, if selected, at the BBC finals in

Menen, Belgium, on October 17, 2026.

The finalists will be announced in late May.
